We Could Stay Here is an original abstract painting that feels open, relaxed, and quietly expressive. Painted on raw natural linen, loose brushwork and intuitive marks move across the surface with plenty of space between them, allowing the natural texture of the linen to become part of the composition.

Dusty pinks, soft blush, creamy whites, muted ochre, and earthy neutrals are grounded by deeper burgundy tones. The palette feels warm and familiar, while unexpected shifts in colour and loosely drawn lines bring movement and personality to the piece.

Created in my Perth studio, this 200 x 160cm large-scale abstract artwork has the presence to anchor a room without overwhelming it. Its generous areas of exposed linen give the painting a sense of lightness despite its scale, making it a statement piece that still feels easy to live with.
